Oriole

A Hooded Oriole scolds passers-by
from the treetops along the trail.
This sociable bird is common in Baja and Mexico.
Its diet includes insects, fruit and flower nectar.
The fussy oriole is aggressive enough
to challenge hummingbirds at their feeders,
where its long beak and tongue are sometimes effective.
